Are you, or have you recently been the victim of bruxism? Are you unsure if you are or not? Bruxism is a disorder that occurs when your teeth are damaged by gnawing or gnashing them together without being aware of it, due to increased stress levels or levels of unconsciousness. If you are suffering from bruxism, it often leaves distinct markings to look for.

The first thing you should do is to ask yourself if you are noticing any signs of an increase in tooth sensitivity. Bruxism often places a heavy role on wearing down tooth enamel, so check for signs of dull or flat teeth, as well as teeth that may be chipped or cracked.

Other signs include physical damage to your gums or tongue. This can come in the form of bite markings on your inner cheeks or strange markings on your tongue. Other potential signs of bruxism include an increase in tooth sensitivity and earaches that do not appear to have a fixed location point, which appears to be coming from outside the ear itself.
